MAX II – Battery System
Once power is restored, the inverter disconnects
the battery bank and again routes power from the main panel to the backup
circuits. If the batteries run low on power, you can plug a portable
gasoline generator into a special wall socket connected to the inverter.
Any excess generator power is used to recharge the batteries.
The MAX II provides a seamless transition to battery power and is noise-free,
emission-free, and service-free. It can be upgraded with photovoltaic
solar panels and become a source of clean power. You always can add
automatic long-term outage protection by upgrading to a MAX III.
